sweet hotel May 05, 2009
This hotel is 17 floors high.(exept for number 13! this one does not exist!)The location of this hotel is also very good. I felt safe walking there. But it has a very good elevator. When you enter the hotel you may be dissapointed, because it is very small, and the reception desk is also very very small. But the lobby is nice and clean. This is also the place they serve the coffee and breakfast. You have to take your tray from above to the lobby, so it is easier for you to take your breakfast upstairs. You must be in the lobby before 8 'o clock, than you have enough choice. The room was very nice, not new of course, because this is an old hotel. But it is really good enough. And the doorkeepers were very friendly and helpful. I would visit this hotel again.

 Good Location, Poor Service Aug 16, 2007
We were booked into a suite with two queen beds. Upon arrival, they put us in a suite with one king bed. It took two days, and dealing with 7 unhelpful front desk employees and managers to remedy their mistake. We had to pay additional money to...read entire review at TravelPost.com

For the hotel we had to walk to 48 street so it did not seem far, but 52 nd was east and 48 west. So much further than we thought. And this with all the suitcases. But we managed to find the Helmsley Middletown hotel.(this was the right… In a speedy way back to New York, just following the interstate!!! |
