Worthy honeymoon hotel Mar 10, 2006
This is where we spent our wedding night in March 2006. It's a very nice hotel near Grand Central Station. Professional staff, very friendly and helpful. It's the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in probably due to the higher price. ;) There are a couple of Helmsley Hotel in New York City, including the one by Central Park, which we simply couldn't afford. The hotel comes complete with house bar, 24 h concierge and the guy that brings your suitcases to your room. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. The furniture looked expensive so it probably was. We could also see the Chrysler building from our room window. I think the lady at the front desk hooked us up after she saw us walk in looking all sharp in our wedding outfits. I'm rather sure that this place is mainly used by business people that like it on the fancy side. :-)

The New York Helmsley Hotel didnt let us down with complimentary umbrellas which got us through some shopping in St Marks Place in the East Village. This is the Camden area I spoke of with punk shops and awesome music stores. Tattoo shops and boutique clothing… Start spreading the news.... |

We had a room for the night at the New York Helmsley Hotel. Which we only saw for a clothes change and then after an all night bar hopping tour for about 4 hours of sleep. lol We did have a nice view though. THE END

For the hotel we had to walk to 48 street so it did not seem far, but 52 nd was east and 48 west. So much further than we thought. And this with all the suitcases. But we managed to find the Helmsley Middletown hotel.(this was the right… In a speedy way back to New York, just following the interstate!!! |
