Delicious desserts in organic quality May 05, 2017
I found this cafe when I had a look at the new website of my favourite organic bakery. It turned out a brother or so of the bakerman had recently opened this cafe on the opposite side of the river in the vibrant Neustadt district. The food and drinks are all organic - perfect for me. My first visit was during Advent season 2015 when I tried to escape the crowds on the Christmas markets. This cafe was a nice shelter from the hustle and bustle.

It is located at a corner of beautiful Martin-Luther-Platz (square) in the heart of the outer Neustadt district, *the* nightlife and party area of the city. Going in you're greeted by very friendly staff behind the counter with an endless choice of yummy cakes, cookies, desserts and whatnot. Make your choice here and order later at the table. They also serve snacks, the "Elbtaler" that they had on the next table looked fantastic.

The cafe is rather sparsely decorated, it's a sort of rustic charm. Frankly, my only complaint here is that due to the lack of textiles it can be a bit noisy.

I had a dessert - spelt-crumble, blueberry-raspberry-mascarpone cream - which was to die for (3.80 Euro). And the dark hot chocolate was more of the same, totally yummy (3.35 Euro). Prices are a bit higher than average, but keep in mind it's all organic (and super yummy). A coffee e.g. is 1.95 Euro and a big cookie with chocolate pieces 1.05 Euro.

On a re-visit we sat outside at one of the tables along the sidewalk. Very nice also. I had a piece of apple cake with icing plus latte macchiato - yummy. They also have fantastic ice cream - relatively small scoops for 1.20 Euro, but very intensive taste and all organic, of course.
