Helios Pub - Naha - TravBuddy

If you are walking down Kokusai Street in Naha and like beer, you have to walk right in to the friendly, helpful and delicious Helios Pub microbrewery. The authentic German-style beers and food, along with local Okinawan fair. Helios Pub is an excellent location for a brew and bite to eat while taking in the sights and shopping of the "Times Square of Okinawa."

We enjoyed the German spicy sausages with horseradish mustard, including the unusual 26" long sausage. The pizza and salads are also great.

For beer, Helios brews on-site and at a nearby microbrew facility 3-5 German-style lagers, including a Hefeweizen, Pale Ale, a dark stout and a blonde Pilsner.

They take credit cards (which many restaurants in Okinawa do not) and there is a projection screen playing old American classic movies along the back wall. The bar area is well-stocked and finished in brass.

Orion Beer is mass-produced in Nago, Okinawa but for a real microbrew taste, please try Helios in Naha--you won't be disappointed!
