Helele'ike'oha Falls (Blue Angel Falls)

Although I've not YET had the opportunity to travel as much as I'd love to, I have been able to see some pretty amazing waterfalls in Maui. I would have to say, one of the most beautiful locations that I've had the pleasure of visiting is Blue Angel Falls in Maui. The Hawaiian name for this waterfall is Helele'ike'oha Falls. The falls, although magnificent in thier own right, was not what made this the most awe-inspiring waterfall on Maui (in my opinion). But the entire setting was what did me in. The falls is the backdrop to a boulder strewn beach, just a few feet from the ocean. The falling water enters a deep, clear pool called "Blue Pool". The water is quite cool and refreshing. It is gorgeous...just be prepared for a 30 minute hike down a beautiful trail. The last 10 or so minutes of the hike could be dangerous, as you have to climb and maneuver through and around some pretty rough boulders. BUT, the end result is worth it!
