Best Ice Creams in Quito May 17, 2009
Heladería de San Agustín is the oldest ice cream shop in Quito. It already excist since the year 1858. Beside being it the oldest, it's also the best. They make their ice cream with real fruit juices what makes it more like a sorbet than an ice cream. Of course they have some other things to eat for lunch or in between.

The interior of the place is really nice and cozy. The walls are painted pink, the furniture is like French style and there are old attributes all around the place to give you the impression that you're really sitting in an old place.

Already since the beginning it's owned by the Alvarez Andino family. We were there on Sunday exactly at 15:00h, so it was not busy anymore. But normally during the day it´s a very popular place, so a must to visit!
