Heineken Music Hall Amsterdam Reviews

Great concert venue with a top quality sound Nov 09, 2011
Since 2001, the Heineken Music Hall became the competitor of the Ahoy Stadium in Rotterdam. With a smaller capacity - 5500 people - the venue has attracted a lot of big names since it was opened for concerts.
I've been to this venue several times now and I'm sure I will go here many times more in the future. The sound quality is superb, as the venue is considered one of the best acoustic locations for concerts. Each show that I went to, had a great sound, no matter where I was. Standing, sitting in the front or in the back, the music will reach you no matter where you are! The tickets are both for standing or seating, no difference in price for one or the other. The smoke free, square hall has 2 bars on each side, as well as other bars outside the hall. In order to buy drinks and food, you have to get tokens first. You can only buy food & drinks with tokens. Parking is conveniently is next to the venue itself, underneath the Amsterdam Arena, but can get costly (depending on arrival time). A train & subway station (Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena) is located next to the venue as well, so ideal if you come with public transport. Be aware of the last train/subway, concerts usually end around 11:00pm. If you love music and go to concerts and you're happen to be in the neighbourhood, check who's playing and if there are still tickets left - you'll have a great experience!
