Scrumptious desserts that satisfy any sweet tooth! Apr 18, 2009
If you have a sweet tooth then this may be the place for you!!
Heaven Sent Desserts is located in the North Park area of San Diego (Corner of University and 30th) just 10 minutes or so from down town. They serve a variety of desserts that are made on site as well as serving coffee and other drinks to accompany your dessert choice. There is also a story behind the name that is worth a read on the website - a tribute to a military friend killed in action. One of the desserts we chose to try was called Irish Angel - a chocolate cake with a couple of layers of Bailey's Irish Cream creme brulee. The other was a sea salted caramel pie. Both were awesome but my favorite was the Irish Angel. Other items that can be found on the menu from time to time are Naughty Angel, T's Guinness Stout Chocolate Cake, Bittersweet S'mores and Sunday Bloody Sundae. This is definitely worth a visit, especially if you are visiting near by Balboa Park. They have happy hour from 3pm to 6:30pm. Their hours of operation are: Tuesday-Thursday 11am-11pm Friday-Saturday 11am - 11:30pm Sunday 11am - 9:30pm  Part of the San Diego - One of my favorite places travel blog
