Went to Kauai w/ a couple of friends for Memorial Day weekend in May. Saw some waterfalls, lonely stretches of beach and the Na Pali Coast. I love how Hawaii has so much to offer!

Maria, (maria58) came to my attention this morning when she came back in to TravBuddy after being gone for some time. I told this morning what I intended to do and that I would let her know when I finished her shot. The shot showed her sitting and look out at a late afternoon sun and cl…

hey everyone!!
Well, its 7am and here, and its blue skies and sunshine - such a nice change from the cold and horrible weather in melbourne! We flew in yesterday morning, and spent most of the day on the beach here (which is so beautiful) swimming, and sunbaking, where we met some guys from califo…

Friendship left to be desired, the nautral, raw beauty of the island of Kauai is amazing. If I were to ever return, I would have to stop there for at least 2 days! It is an island of beauty, not one of industry, and is definitely worth the plane ride. You lucky people who have first class!!! The Na Pali Coast must be visited, preferable on a catamaran, and you have to sit at the front of it of course!!! Make sure to go with the right people and explore the island!

I was in Hawaii for a v cool seminar, 'Consuming Cultures: Change, Tradition and Choice in Asia and the Pacific' organized by the United Nations University and the School of Hawaiian, Asian and Pacific Studies. Not as cool as Waikiki Beach tho! (where I managed to get both a golden tan AND a marriage proposal) :D

We had been in Hawaii for several days already and hadn't left the Waikiki area. In fact, we spent so much time on people's hotel balconies having drinks and enjoying the clubs that we hadn't even been to the beach. Which is why after seeing three or four days go by wasted like this, it became…

We arrived on Kaua'i in the early evening after a total of 20 hours of travelling. We were quite tired but needed to pick up our car and drive to Princeville, where we had rented a villa for the first week of our honeymoon. It took a while to get the car sorted out because there was confusion …

So, yesterday I was in Honolulu for the day. My friend Heidi and I hiked Manoa Falls, which was amazing. I had never been in a real rainforest setting before. We got lost a bit around the island trying to use the buses, but since we had no plans or time constraints, it didn’t re…
