Havana Vieja

It doesn't cost you much to go there, because it is just an (old) part of the beautiful city Havana. There is like a carnaval parade in the middle of the city. It starts with only the people of the parade, but after a while everybody joins the parade and dances along to the streets of the Old Havana. There is one main square, where all the 'Havanic' people meet. There is a bar where Ernest Hemingway drunk his mojito's (which are really, truly, the best mojito's of Cuba) with an old elevator, everything is still intact of the old days. GO TO THE MALÉCON ! It's a boulevard where there is a lot of fun ! People sing, dance, are having party's late at night: awesome ! Make sure you also visit the 'newer' part of Havana! You don't want to miss the Capitol (which is 3 centimetres taller than the one in Washington D.C.!) or hotel Nacional Havana, where superstars such as Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando stayed. If you go with a guide, PLEASE: book the Tropicana Show! It's in an open air theatre in the new part of Havana. A whole evening with champagne, cuba libres, cuban music, glitter and dancing, it's a wonderful experience !
