Havana Central Travel Reviews

Jan 30, 2008
Ever since returning from Cuba, I have become obsessed with all things Cuban. So, when I happened across Havana Central imagine my delight!

Havana Central is a restaurant that is dedicated to serving the highest quality and most authentic Cuban food possible. The decor and music playing while you dine truly makes you feel like you are sitting in a cafe in La Habana (expect lots of Buena Vista Social Club). The only thing left needed is a man sitting next to you smoking a cohiba.

The staff is also friendly and helpful. I have been consistently satisfied the times I have frequented there.

The best part about Havana Central though are the mojitos. I am quite picky when it comes to how mine are prepared. They have to have lots of fresh mint and cannot be too sweet. Havana Central's could not be more perfect in my opinion! I am partial to their passion fruit mojito, which is $10/drink. On certain days there are 2 for 1 specials; usually Tuesdays are mojitos and Thursdays are sangria.

Note: I have reviewed their Union Square location, however they have 2 other locations on the West End and Times Square.

Buen provecho mis amigos y amigas!!!

I thought it was so cute and the huge pots of tea are in the most adorable teapots. In addition they have yummy little dishes like rhubarb crumble and bananas in cream. Both are delicious! ...
perfektewelle says: When I went to NYC, we hunted relentlessly for a restaurant that didn't have a long wait. We ended up in times square...amidst the city lights.. starving after a long days drive. We turned the corner and saw the fancy fine dining establishment,Osteria al Doge. Inside we found elegant settings and au...
