My sister and her family came to visit me in North Carolina, so we headed for the outer banks to find pirates, mermaids and sharks! It was a fun trip- Beautiful beaches and interesting places like British Cemetery on Ocracoke (I never knew the Germans came so close to the States). We saw Dolphins, Pelicans, light houses, and giant sand dunes, and I managed to crash a Hang Glider :). All in all a good trip!

I haven't seen many campsites, but this has to be one of the best possible. It's right on the beach (literally, you can lug all your chairs, towels, etc and walk there), it has a poolside cafe that delivers to your site for free, amazingly clean bathrooms, and it's in open air which means no bugs.But, anyway, so far this has been the first few days when I haven't been driving - so, I wake up at 7am (when it gets too hot to sleep inside the tent), and have until 10pm (when everything shu...
