Today we are back visiting our friends the baker.  We arrived just before midday and went out for lunch, in Sidley.  It was very yum - will do a review later!!  After a very big yummy lunch, we drove down to the sea front.  We had a walk down to the sea.  The boys enjoyed playing with the pebbles and getting wet!!!!  Ezri thought it would be a good idea to try and eat the pebbles, luckly she didn't swollow any!!  After nearly an hour it was starting to get c...

Great weekend. Rye, then Fairlight. We had to carry our stuff for 1,5 hour, up and down, up and down the clifs to get to our priceless spot. Once we got there, the reward was waiting - peace, sea, beach and noone else. Then the others arrived with more food and drink, guitar. Bon fire and singing during the night. In the morning: beach to ourselves, sun, swimming in the sea, quick breakfast and hour walk to Hastings for fish'n'chips for a tea.

Day trip to Hastings with my kids from Norway and Denmark, managed to get lost on the way to  the castle and then tried to blag my way through the story of 1066- not very impressive! We then made our way into the caves and onto Battle Abbey, on a hot day all we wanted to do was sunbathe.

It is now 9pm at night and thanks to one too many drinks last night my day has not been as productive as I had hoped! My bag is yet to be packed and there are lots of phone calls to make. Russell has got off to a great start by leaving all of his bank cards at a friends house in Maidstone (Thanks for finding them Ben!).  Right I am now off to try and book my seats for tomorrow. Hopefully there will be lots more entries to come and stories to tell!
