The glorious days of summer in Europe are over, now we will survive and enjoy winter in the Low Countries

I needed a new pair of glasses and had purchased my last pair at a little shop in Hasselt. The people are friendly and the selection was exceptional. So, I wanted to return for my new pair. While there we had to stop at "The Drug Store" a cafe, for a chocolate shake and a bit of lunch.

Leaving the hometown for a couple of days and celebrate the holidays by exploring these great cities. Magnificent time since the Christmas time gave both cities a special atmosphere.We stayed at the Carbon Hotel in Genk (check out my review) and the Astor hotel in Düsseldorf.
