Harry's Bar is an upmarket, old-school bar near St Mark's Square in Venice. There is a slight air of mystery to the exterior, the entrance is very discreet and the windows are all frosted allowing not a glimpse of what the interior might be like. As soon as you enter you realise this place is somewhere a little special and it has the feel of an old gentleman's club. Wood panelling and white coated waiters add to the upmarket feel. Taking photos inside is frowned upon as the bar is often frequented by the rich and famous and they are keen to preserve this mysterious feel, but I managed to sneak a couple of discreet ones.

Harry's is a fully fledged restaurant as well as a bar but be warned, this place is pricey and a full meal will run up quite a bill. Harry's however is especially famous for being the home of the world famous 'Bellini' the peach a Prosecco cocktail which is delicious. A small glass of this signature drink costs 17.50 Euros so I usually stick to one or two out of necessity so it's fair to say I have never left Harry's having had one too many!

It is pricey yes, but it's the experience you pay for and as a one off luxury I think it's worth doing, at least once.
