Harrismith Vacation Guide
Harrismith is a town just off the N3 highway in the Free State, South Africa. It lies between Johannesburg and Durban thus making it a halfway stop off point for many travellers heading from one city to the other.
Founded in 1849, it is home to the largest truck-stop in the Southern Hemisphere - Highway Junction - as well as the 3rd largest dam in South Africa - the Sterkfontein Dam.
If you happen to pass here definitely stop at Wimpy for a burger!
