Harrah's resort Atlantic City NJ Jul 23, 2012
I stayed only 2 days at the Harrah's resort in Atlantic City NJ. I'm not a gambler and I didn't visit the casino so I can't comment on that. First of all, the hotel is situated very far from the boardwalk and the main attractions and the road signs were confusing for us. The rooms had a lot of good stuff and the bathroom was big. We were in Marina and we received a lot of negative comment about this place but we found it fine. The room was ready maybe a bit later than expected but everything was good: the beds and the accessories etc. It's not a place recommended for kids apart from the pool area. We only ate a sandwich and a burger at the hotel because we went to restaurants in the city. The food is very expensive and it's not worth the price in my opinion.

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City Feb 09, 2011
I had a great time...I stayed at Harrahs in the ocean tower, the tallest building in Atlantic City and 2nd tallest in New Jersey. The Red Door spa facilities at the resort were great and my massage was good--HOWEVER....

Its very uncommon for the masseuse to talk to you while giving a massage, other than to ask if you are comfortable but it was very bizzarre, while trying to relax she continued to start conversation with me. I know everything I could know about this woman: I know she was married 23 years til he cheated and beat her in the face, her sons' names, her grandkids names, where her boyfriend lives, where she lives..everything down to her mother up the road and details of her day..For whatever reason this lady just opened up to me and let it all flood out. Hence the great massage-However.

The good news is my friend called down when I told him what happened and got me a free massage the next morning! YAY!..it was fantastic and peacefully quiet.

The staff at Harrah's were very polite, even the parking attendant helped us out with free parking at Ceasar's when we asked her where the best place to park was.

The pool was soooo relaxing!!! It was an island paradise theme with plants and palm trees under a huge glass dome. On Saturday nights they turn it into a nightclub where celebrities sometimes host. The tower we stayed in was completely covered in lights at night reflected and shone from miles away and look really cool in the dome below during the night club nights. I could go on and on how relaxing it was. They have several hot tubs surrounding the pools in little hiding places...my fave was the huge hot tub that was built for at least 20 people.

I didn't realize Harrahs was off the boardwalk when I booked it..I would say that was the only thing I could wish different, but the drive was not far at all, and I have to admit it was kind of nice to be away from the crowds and we had everything we could need at the resort-- I would definitely stay there again.

Stay tuned for my run into a psychic and more boardwalk reviews and adventures....

Good hotel in a poor location, love the pool Jun 06, 2011
Hmmm I do like the hotel but the location is poor, you are limited to the hotel if you are like me and prefer walking everywhere rather than waiting for buses.

Shuttles are for total rewards customers

Bus is $2.25 from station, and the same to the boardwalk.

Rooms are nice, large and clean, bathroom is immense, (comparable to the best Vegas hotels), very happy with the pool apart from the waitresses, the guys at the bar are great but the girls just seemed to be standing around all day chatting to each other while I and everyone around me were waiting for drinks, (they looked GREAT so I didn't complain!)

the trick to getting free nights Mar 19, 2011
harrahs i always love staying at harrahs and the trick to getting free nights at harrahs and all the total rewards hotels in Atlantic city is join there total rewards program . im not a gambler and if your not dont worry they will send you free nights and promotions like buy 1 buffet get the secound one free. this doesnt work in las vegas like it does atlantic city .atlantic city offers the free nights and its a great casino and has alot of entertainment - its buffet is something else -lobster,king crabs, prime rib and on and on - getting hungry typing this lol there is also i indoor pool and at night they turn it into a disco - great place -you really dont have to leave there as it has everything - happy traveling cj
