Harlow Carr Garden Harrogate Reviews
Most northerly RHS garden Nov 02, 2010
The Royal Horticultural Society has only four gardens of which three are in the south of England. Harrogate is in Yorkshire so this is their only showing in the north of England. How could a combination of the RHS and Yorkshire be other than good?
There are several national plant collections here including rhubarb and an information and education centre has been open recently but it is the simple beauty of the flowers and the arboretum that draws so many visitors.
There is a branch of Betty's Tea House, well known in the north of England, where you can enjoy refreshments before or after a visit. There is a significant stream running through the gardens that adds to the pleasure of walks.
