Hardee’s is the fourth largest fast-food chain restaurant in the U.S. Begun back in the 60’s it has gone through several ownership changes over the years. Their locations are located mainly in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the country. Recent numbers show a total of 3,100 franchised or company-operated restaurants in 42 states and in 14 countries, including 1,917 Hardee's restaurants and 1,170 Carl's Jr. restaurants.

The menus are quite similar to the other fast-food burger restaurants with breakfast, salads, burgers, fries, and malts along with soft drinks.

Our visit for dinner was light and only included salads and malts.

Hello X-Drive, I knew the founder of Hardee's, Wilbur Hardee of Greenville, North Carolina. The first Hardee's was in Greenville, NC, the building is still standing. The last time I was by there it was a medical clinic. Wilbur was a fast food francise developer. He would open 4 or 5 stores and then sell francises. "Little Mint" was his venture prior to Hardee's. Some of those stores still exist in Eastern, NC. Little Mint was a combination of a Hardee's with a Kentucky Fried Chicken. "Wilbur's" came after Hardee's. Wilbur's was an upscale Hardee's
