Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur Jun 26, 2015
I've been to this place 3 times. Twice at night, once in the afternoon.

First time at night was for drinks, the place was so noisy you could hardly talk even when seated at the terrace, away from the live band. Live band was quite good, but I didn't like those ladies getting drunk and started dancing right in front of the band (I'm more interested to see them play without dancers -those who really can't dance by the way.

Second time at night was for dinner. Food was good. Service was also good. But we left before the music gets louder.

Third time was for lunch. A very bad idea. If you ever go there for lunch, AVOID their set lunch. We didn't like our orders and even the garlic bread tasted weird. Portion was big though. We wanted to pack desert for later but was told that packing is not allowed for lunch set - ??

I've been to Hard Rock Cafe in Bali and the exterior, interior and whole atmosphere was far greater than the one here in KL. I wonder how this place actually survive cos I don't see any vibe here.

P/S-Their dessert plates were served cold, in other words prepared and kept refrigerated together with the plates until someone ordered. Strange way of presentation? Didn't like the look of condensation on it...

Great live music Nov 05, 2012
I am a big fan of Hard Rock Cafes and I've been to a few over the world, so in KL of course I couldn't miss visiting it.

Of course you know what quality to expect at a HRC, and it was no less this time. I ordered chicken wings, but they didn't have the buffalo sauce option here. They were good anyway. Beer was extremely expensive, but that is mostly because of the 100% tax on liquors in Malaysia for being a Muslim country. So beer prices are not that different elsewhere.

They had a band playing the night we went there (and surprisingly it was a Monday), and they were really good, but for a moment they were playing more pop than rock, which is what I would have liked to listen anyway. Their versions of Adele songs were awesome.

I had a great time in this place and of course this one is up to par with HRC places all over the world. Don't miss it if you go to KL!!
With my buddy Mehrzad, a true meta…
