Harbor Vacations Club San Diego Reviews
Harbor Vacations Club - San Diego, CA Oct 24, 2010
Since the family loves boats, it only seemed natural when heading to San Diego to stay upon a floating house boat at Harbor Vacations Club.
We stayed upon the Villa San Juan, a 2 bedroom houseboat that sleeps 6. It was nice and well maintained for the most part, however one of the burners on the 2 burner stove was broken while we were there (maintenance was working on getting a new one).
The true "feature" of the boat was the rooftop deck. Watching the sunsets over the harbor from here were nothing less then perfect.
There were no phones or internet service while we were there due to some area construction, but we didn't find since I had a cell phone that gave me all I needed.
The club has a pool area and a local corner sandwich shop that was nice as well.
The downside to this place would definitely be the parking. There is none. During the day the spots are rented out as day parking in San Diego for all those going to the beach or taking there boats out fishing and such. So unfortunately if you leave during the day, dont bother returning until after 5pm since they cannot guarentee that once you give up your spot that you will be able to park when you return. So as long as you dont plan on leaving and returning during the day, you are fine.
It is convienently located near the beach, the Gas lamp district, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, and Seaport Village.
