Happy Valley Hotel

This hotel is one block from the Boudhnath Stupa. Very well located. Across the road is a house where Bouddhist monks live. Great Restaurants nearby and plenty of people watching opportunities as well. Predominantly Tibetan area.

The hotel is immmaculate. Very clean, well kept. Price was $25 a night but in December we got it for $12 without breakfast or $15 with breakfast. Some of breakfast was made in the kitchen but the pancakes were delivered in a plastic bag via a courrier from a nearby restaurant. Quite the welcome to Nepal on the first morning. The staff was very helpful and polite, spoke great English. The taxi driver they use charges rediculous fees. Half whatever he says and don't pay a rupee more (even less in most cases).

Overall, on future stays in Nepal I will certainly stay here again.
