There are many cabs in Hanoi. The good thing is they have 7 seaters taxi so my group can fit into one taxi and that's all.
Normally, the driver can not speak English at all. Lucky if you find one.

Travelers to Vietnam still need a valid visa before entering the country. You can easily get the visa with your passport in the embassy in your country or in the third country with the price ranging from 20-45$.
Visitors from Asean countries, Japan...may visit Vietnam without a Visa.

What stroke me the most in Vietnam was the surrounding noise of street transportation. Even at night, you get a live concert of bikes, motorbikes and parlors buzzing around. Think about it when choosing an hotel room or get some earplugs
