Getting a visa for Vietnam from the United States May 02, 2008
I just got my visa for Vietnam - and it is a MUST. It cost $65 for a single-entry and $110 for multi-entry and they only accept cash. I experienced that an Iranian man was unable to get his visa and they have a $35 refund policy. It was poor service at the San Francisco, CA embassy. Travelers be aware prior to submitting your application. Bring a passport photo and an application (or get it there and fill it out while you wait). Sometimes it helps to bring your travel itinerary so that they can tell you are leaving their country at some point. Also check out www.visahq.com. Here you can get info on all visa requirements from all countries - and you can get the applications and everything you need (for a fee) without having to leave the house. Happy travels everyone!!

if you got the time i would suggest going through loas. loas along with cambodia should not be missed. it definantly is not as travelled as vietnam, ie. not the same hop on and off tour buses from hanoi to HMC, but a definant good plan if you got the time and want to explore something new.
