A nice place with clean rooms, TV, and attached bathroom with bath. Friendly and helpful staff who look like they are all family, and give you the feeling of being part of one big family. In fact they all come from different families.
The staff is very helpful in finding the best trip you want to make, not trying to sell you the most expensive option. They are always available for advice, and the small menu they have is well prepared by the house cook. There is also a dorm, which makes it a good place for any kind of traveller. Because the hostel is often full, which doesn't mean it feels crouded, they really try to find the best sollution for anyone they can't give a place to sleep. …being
hassled by about six motorbike riders, one of which even tried to take
money out of my hand, we set out to find Sarah’s Hostel. Hanoi
Backpackers Hostel as it turns out is a very nice establishment, and
cheap. I probably would have stayed there, if I hadn’t paid the deposit
on my Hotel.

Made it to the 'Backpackers hostel' recommended to be an American called Keith in Vientienne. Very nice hostel, clean, modern, free breakfast and internet, very central in Old Quater (next to St Josephs Cathedral (strange to see a church again after all the temples - walked… Hanoi is completely mental |

We were rather surprised when we made
it to the hostel without any detours, as we had heard numerous
stories of taxi drivers taking you to hotels they get commision from
and claiming it was your hostel. The hostel, Hanoi backpackers
hostel, is down a little alley that is too narrow for cars but mopeds… Hello Hanoi |

Anyways, found the hostel. Checked in. Dropped off my stuff, and went for a walk. I helped this little old lady across the street. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW SHE GETS AROUND with all this craziness. So met some people on the roof of the hostel when i got back… Good morning Vietnam! |

I bought an
awesome bowl and chopstick set for the secret Santa thing at the hostel, and
bought Livia some junk she’ll love, for like 5p. We went back to the hostel for
the Christmas party which involved a 3 course Christmas dinner with all the
trimmings and free drink (well not really free because we had to pay for the
