Almost everything about this hotel was excellent! We arrived early evening on Friday with quick and easy check-in. There was adequate parking available in the newly paved lot. When we arrived at our room on the 5th floor we were surprised by a lavish, roomy studio suite complete with a nice kitchen nook entry which included a mini refrigerator, microwave and full sized sink. Lots of counter space for food items as well as storage drawers.

The room was larger that we expected it to be! Nice furnishings throughout with out being too cluttered. The sofa bed was comfortable for our two kids and the king-size bed felt like we were sleeping on cloud nine! It was simply one on the most comfortable beds my wife and I have experienced in a hotel.

Nice open area bathroom sink & counter with separate bath & shower, toilet room for privacy. The view from the two big windows overlooking the parking lot and Bypass Rd. was enjoyable. Funny how looking at a parking lot and roadway would seem “nice” but the ambience of this hotel room makes it feel that way!

There are two separate pool areas, one indoor and one outdoor that are side-by-side. Very good layout on both as there is ample room to walk around the pools without too much clutter. The pools were from 3ft to 5ft deep and are identical as well as nice in size. Hot tub was also nice but only big enough for about 2 people at a time. Both pools and hot tub were well maintained and clean. The indoor pool has a shower off area which was very convenient. Only thing I found wrong here was that there were no pool towels left on the wrack so we had to ask for them. The workout room was spacious consisted of all new treadmills & workout equipment.

The breakfast area was good but some improvements could be made here with the layout... Plenty of eating area tables, booths and a nice, large bar style table runs the length of the room. Having the food tucked away in the back in a "squared-horseshoe” configuration made it a bit difficult to self-serve when the crowds got rather large. Perhaps an “island style” format would be better which would allow people to not step all over each other while trying to get food. Other than this issue the food was very good and fresh. I really liked the coffee counter just opposite the check-in counter! Grab a cup on the way out or in!

With a few minor tweaks and refinements that any new hotel might need, Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg-Central is one of the finest places we have stayed at in quite some time! If you are looking for a brand new hotel with beautiful accommodations look no further!
