I will stay again... Jan 05, 2012
We picked this hotel because of its location. It is walking distance to a lot of establishments like restaurants, shops, museums, and other recreational interests. Hampton Inn is also near to the entrance gate of Arches National Park, maybe about 10 minutes driving. This is a walk-in reservation again and the hotel staff who checks us in is very helpful and professional. The check in desk is open 24/7.
The room we stayed at is very clean. Quite dark but I would say it is cozy. It has two queen beds and on top of the bed is a flat thing made of wood and I wondered what it was, later I found out it is a laptop stand or whatever you may call it. But it is very comfy to use when you’re in bed with the laptop on that thing. The bed sheets smelled fresh and crisp. Pillows and comforters are comfy. The rooms that are near the road sides might be noisy due to cars passing by so make sure to request for rooms that are not facing the highway. Ours was quiet.
A flat screen TV set is furnished as well as desk, chairs, arm chair, lamps, alarm clocks, small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There is also a wardrobe cabinet but small in size. The complimentary wireless internet access in the room is fast and does not need a password.
The bathroom/toilet has complimentary toiletries and hair dryer. Towels are clean. Of course, one can always take the longest hot shower ever. Inadequate hot water supply is never a problem in most hotels (if not all) in the U.S.
The hotel has a fitness facility; the outdoor pool was closed in the winter.
I like the added personal touch like the television and fireplace in the lobby where I was able to relax while I wait for my laundry to finish. Yes, they also have laundry facility which is operated by a few coins of .25 cents.
My children were delighted to see platters of cookies in the dining area. The "sweet tooth's" are always welcome to pick one or two cookies. Coffee at the dining area is also available 24 hours.
The breakfast is inclusive in the room rate. If you are only staying for one night, the breakfast is good but if you’re staying more than a night, you might get tired of what they serve because the menu is always the same. Also, for those who need to leave the hotel early, they provide a bag of breakfast.
There are ample parking in front of the hotel.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel rate is in the expensive side but it is commensurate to the amenities, value, location, and service.
I’ll try post some photos later. I still have to dig out those photos piled up somewhere. :)
