Hampton Inn Jasper (Alabama)

I spent an entire week here while working in Quinton, Alabama. Jasper was just as far away as northwestern Birmingham, but had much less traffic. This hotel is very new. The room was spacious and decorated with nice furniture that felt more like a home than a hotel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, something I have not found in several recent hotel stays. The bathroom was huge and included a bathtub length shower stall without the tub. I personally loved the shower because it was full height with two sliding doors and a high shower head, though I found it odd that they didn't warn me that there was no tub. Obviously I wasn't elderly or disabled and didn't have kids with me, but I think it would have surprised a lot of people.

The location is outside of town, so there weren't many places close by to eat at, but it was covnenient for getting on both old or new 78.
