nice sized room with comfy bed Jan 12, 2009
The Hampton Inn on the north end of town has nice rooms and comfy beds. My room had a king bed, tv, nice work station and huge bathroom. The bed was comfy and the rollout desk convenient. There was even a lap desk waiting on the bed. The bathroom was nice sized and very appealing to the eye, although I had trouble opening the soap. I did like how the clock radio has 5 pre-programmed buttons and you hit the type of music and it plays that station. I just wish they had a rock station programmed
The hotel has a nice breakfast with fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels, muffins, and biscuits with sausage and egg patties. There was a nice pool, but I felt uncomfortable using it because the big glass windows face the big windows of Hooters, and you can imagine that the guys there would be looking for a free show... Other restaurants within easy walking distance include Old Chicago, Outback Steakhouse, and TGI Fridays. Part of the Colorado Springs travel blog |
