Hammamet is one of the most touristic places in Tunisia. You can find in Old Hammamet The Medina. A very nice place. If you are early in the year, you may find it disturbing that the people from the stores are calling you. If you stay friendly they won't bother you. They just want to sell you things. In the medina everything and i say everyting is fake!! Keep that in mind! You have to bargain about the prices. One third of the price is more than enough! In Hammamet you can find several bars and restaurants, Dolce Vita has nice coffee, although it will taste different from our coffee. This is because of the water. In Canari you can have wonderfull milkshakes! And a taxi is easy to get! I like staying in Hammamet Yasmine. It is a new build medina. Of course not authentic but a very entertaining place. Music in the evening, and shows! Hammamet Yasmine is not far from the Old town. About 10 kilometers. It is about 7 dinar to go there by taxi. (i always search for a taxi who is clean and not damaged). The beaches on Hammamet Yasmine are perfect. High standard. Every hotel has his own bar on the beach. Hammamet is located an hour travelling from monastir airport.
