A popular conveyor belt sushi chain store Oct 06, 2012
Whenever we'd like to eat sushi, we go to this Hamazushi. I think most Japanese might like to go to a conveyor belt sushi than a sushi shop. Because the taste of a conveyor belt sushi is yummy and inexpensive. So we have to wait in a line on weekend. A conveyor belt sushi is a self-service restaurant. When you'd like to order, you pick your favorite sushi on the conveyor belt or just touch a panel. The sushi on the conveyor belt comes directly from the kitchen. I like Hamazushi, because they have great variety of ingredients. Most of dish are 105 yen. Desserts are 210 yen. Takeout sushi and drive-through are available too.

It's true the making process of the conveyor belt sushi shop is an assembly line. People in the kitchen are almost part-timers. This system might be a lack of communications. But compared with going a luxury sushi shop, we are easy to eat sushi by appearance of conveyor belt sushi shop:)

Do you feel the computer/conveyor belt way diminishes the experience - That is, that you have the feeling the food is prepared by a human that cares? Just curious...
