Halong Bay - most beautiful sunset ever May 19, 2011
A journey to Halong Bay is like passage to the unknown.
You kinda expect it to be nice boat trip with a chance of romance.
But at the end, it's more.
The first half of the journey puts up to your expectation.
Everyone gather in the junkboat, lunch is served, getting in and out the fluorescent caves.
Yet somehow the magic plays it right when the sun starts to set.
I've never seen the most beautiful sunset, ever in my life.
It was so beautiful you would assume that time has stopped, the beating of your heart slowed down and you'd just want to admire and sink into the beauty even more.
And then the experience smoothed out through the nightfall.
You quickly make friends with everyone in your boat, telling silly stories and jokes while sipping bia.
Then one by one starts to leave the chatroom and retire to bed.
Then there it is, magnificent view once again.
Darkness everywhere with the shadows of the grotto.
I've never seen the most beautiful constellation ever, if only I was lucky enough to catch a falling star.
It just doesn't stop there.
You sleep, sound sleep that you haven't managed in the last 10 years.
And when you wake up, it's the sunrise peeking at you through the grotto, blowing you good morning kisses.
And you thought you were dreaming, until the boatkeeper bangs your door and yelling that your breakfast is served.

Hang Dau Go. 3 chambers fulfilled with secrets that will be explained when you get in. Hang Sung Sot and Hang Trong, with its instrumental stalactites are worth seeing too but Dau Go still get my preference.
