The Scottish Highlands may seem daunting for some, but not the folks at Haggis Tours. These Scots know what they are doing. Haggis offers 3, 6, 8, and 10 day tours of the Scottish Highlands, each tour led by a born and raised Scot. This reviewer took the 6 day tour, which is a great introduction to the Highlands. We got to see Scotland's natural beauty, spending time off the beaten path. We got to hear the history of Scotland and see the battlefields. We got to hear the myth that has been passed down since days of old. We spent time on the Isle of Skye. We got to hunt for the Loch Ness monster. We scratched the surface of seeing the 30,000 lochs in the country. Scotland is such a beautiful place, and no one should miss an adventure into the north. fantastic tour company in scotland! Oct 12, 2008
Absolutely fantastic-if you're going to scotland it's easy to see the whole country in your own car-the highlands are beautiful but would have had no meaning to me if it weren't for our awesome scottish tour guide who drove our bright yellow bus-told us all the myths that went along with mountains, rivers, loches, etc that were really interesting. you also get to see things like culladen moore (excuse the spelling) where the history of even the US could have been changed-the reason why scottish heritage and culture was almost wiped out. good-quality hostels in interesting areas. it was a pretty good deal for the money, although remember you have to pay for hostels as you go...i would definitely reccommend this tour company!

The castle was built on top of a volcanic plug, there use to be a man made lake around the castle.  The lake became too dirty so they drained it, now it's a beautiful park surrounding the castle. The view from… Edinburgh

I definitely wanted to take a Haggis 6 day tour of the Scottish Highlands, and the only available date was the 28th, so I went for it.  I had to be at their little office downtown at like 8 AM, so I made sure I set my new alarm and made… Edinburgh - Day 3
