Hacienda Hotel Uxmal - Reviews - Uxmal

Hacienda Uxmal is locate across the street from the Uxmal Mayan ruins. It is the real Yucatan. The person who works the front desk Luis is a perfect gentleman, and sometimes you can hire him to take you into the town of Muna for shopping or just going to church. The rooms are typical yucatan style. If you stay in the hacienda be prepared to see the sights and not catching yourself sitting around. The entertainment selection is not much, just one english channel that you can only watch fifty percent of the time. Hey you're in the yucatan, you should be exploring and not watching tv. The bar is also a little less then desireable. The bartender works the bar and the restaurant. One night he was away from the bar for over an hour. I just helped myself, i couldnt wait. They need to have the bartender stay in one place in my opinion. Besides the bar i can say that the hacienda was a wonderful place to stay, and the pool wasnt bad at all. Just remember when in Mexico, even in the hotel. Dont drink the water. Some of the people who have stayed at the Hacienda Uxmal has been President George Bush, PM Tony Blair, The Kennedy family, and the Queen of England.
