Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort Tucson - Reviews - Tucson

After 11 years living in Phoenix, and searching for something other than the big "corporate" spas, we stumbled upon this historical little resort in Tucson named Hacienda del Sol. Formerly a private girls school in the early 1900's, this resort has transformed itself into a picturesque haven sitting atop a desert knoll with a spectacular view of the Catalina Mountains. The ground gardens were spectacular and immaculately groomed. The arthitecture, decor, and ambiance of the common areas and the rooms spoke volumes of the staying power of an elegant past. The rooms were beautifully decorated in a bright blend of southwestern architecture and strong spanish influence. The pool area has a view of the Catalinas that is simply breathtaking.

The restaurant at the resort is quite popular among locals seeking a scrumptous gourmet meal served with flair, style, and wonderfully attended. The food was creatively delicious and plentiful.

The service and attention to detail at the resort cannot be rivaled by the larger resorts in the surrounding area. Although there is no onsite spa, massages are available upon appointment.

If you are looking for an authentic taste of the old southwest, a peaceful and tranquil haven, good food, and spectacular natural scenery - this is the place for you.
