Delish Cuban FUSION Nov 20, 2009
Kelleeoo and I went out once again at the lab. Our 2 places to dine are the Gypsy Den and Habana. Actually, we've eaten at both venues twice. This would be the second time.

I like Habana's ambiance. It's dark and is dimly lit with candles on your table and along the walls. They have a nice (and probably larger than inside) outdoor patio for dining. Only bummer with the patio dining is that it is alongside the parking lot. Though they do attempt to divide you with a jungle of large bushes.

The food here is yummy. But like Ian made fun of my "Mexican food" (it is more Baja Mexican) this "Cuban" place is more fusion style.

Kelly and I were stuffed and we still tried to eat ALL our food without exploding. The drinks here are interesting. I tried their blueberry mojito. I'm not a fan. It was too blueberryish. But it didn't stop me from drinking all of it. This is a nice "date" place or place to catch up with a friend. I'm sure Kelly and I will be returning here when we can't think of another place to go... either here or the Gypsy's Den. lol

Oh, reason we really enjoy going to the lab is because there is a fire pit sitting area where Kelly and I like to hang out and chit chat until our body digested all the yummy food and where we can watch the people on their first dates and make fun of them. Fun place... I guess I should review The Lab... though I've never shopped there. lol

When did you go to Bikram at the Camp? I have been going there the last four years and know Patrice and most of the teachers pretty well?

Great to know Larry!! I haven't seen you guys in forever, it would be fun to catch up! I've heard of the Old Vine and I actually used to go to that Bikram studio... but I just want to go home and shower after so I never stop in! haha
Maybe I'll set up a mini dinner meet there! Thank you for the idea!

We eat there often and live 5 minutes away so let us know if you are going again. If you get the chance, check out the Old Vine Cafe across the street at the Camp (back behind the Bikram Yoga Studio. They are open B/L/D and have an awesome tasting menu at night...
