Holy moly. We slept for over 14 hours. Much needed, I guess. Started the day around 9am... woke up for breakfast in the hotel -- fairly simple, but filling - toast with jelly, cornflakes and orange juice. Afterwards, we went back to our room to shower and pack up. My last warm shower (potentially, anyway). We left our bags at the front desk and went to have a look around town. On May 9th, we'll arrive in Haarlem from Minneapolis, MN (well, the sister's flying in from Madison, WI)...we'll be staying here for 6 nights.  There's a lot to do in this area of the Netherlands, and we're excited to have enough time to hopefully take it all in!!  :)

Este viaje fue planeado durante largos años hasta que finalmente llegó el momento. Nuestro viaje se inicia en mi ciudad favorita: Paris. Hicimos un pequeño periplo por Paises Bajos y Bélgica con unos entrañables amigos y finalmente nos acoplamos a un tour por Italia, el sur de Francia y España. Una maravilla de viaje que espero repetir algún día.

Short tour of Europe (Lisbon, London, Amsterdam) followed by a safari through the northern national park circuit of Tanzania. Almost 4 weeks in total.

In 2007 i went on a 16 country adventure through Europe and Egypt :) Being my first massive adventure i booked alot of tours and took taxis in the beginning which i discovered i don't enjoy doing. By the end i preferred just walking around discovering things myself.

Greetings from Haarlem, The Netherlands. I'll finish off yesterday then tell you how we ended up here.So yesterday arvo we decided to take a cruise through the long and winding canals of Amsterdam. It turned out to be a great idea as the cruise also went through part of the harbour and gave me a different view of Amsterdam.
