HI-Chicago Hostel

This hostel was a very wonderful experience. The dorm rooms were very clean. The bed, kitchen, common areas were well maintained. Breakfast was good continental stuff.

Bathrooms could use a little cleaning, but nothing a pair of bathroom slippers wont take care of.

Would definitely recommend this place if you want a very cost effective but wonderful place to stay!

Stayed here twice last year whilst studying in the U.S.

as a european the idea of no alcohol in the dorms was a bit annoying (was in a group of 40 over thanksgiving weekend and we wanted to pre drink) we did it anyway but smuggling booze in was difficult. otherwise this is a great hostel in a good location and with the most comfortable beds i have ever experienced in a hostel. the location is great for the shops, millennium park and the Sears tower. Bars are a little distance away so a cab is advised particularly at night but i never felt in danger around the hostel at night as it is well lit.
