Gyantse Kitchen Gyangze Reviews
Decent meal in a remote town Jul 17, 2010
Gyantse Kitchen is right accross the street from the Gyantse hotel, where we were staying and as it was raining in torrents around dinner time, this was an obvious choice.
It's a rather large and clean place with a cosy Tibetan interior. I noticed only large tables at the restaurant so I guess they focuss mainly on groups.
There's an English menu with Tibetan, Nepali and Western style food. Apparently the curries and the noodles are really good here. I ordered pizza which was lacking tomatoes but pretty good seen the place we were at.
The staff is very friendly but service was a bit at the slow side and we had to get up to the register ourselves to get the check. Though this is a non-issue seen the pretty low prices. A main course including drinks will set you back somewhere between 25 and 50 yuan.
