Guymon Vacation Guide

Located in the middle of what was once known as No Man's Land, I consider Guymon to be the Crossroads of the panhandle. The Panhandle's history is interesting and unique. The 6,000 square miles of the Panhandle has flown the flags of Spain, France, Mexico, Republic of Texas, and the United States. The flags change, but the people stay the same rather interesting and unique.

We are a town of 14,000 people and one of the fastest growing towns in Oklahoma, according to the 2000 census. Our culturally diverse population has the largest percentage of population under the age of four years. Guymon's people are young, with a median age of 33, and they continue to be blessed with pioneer independence and perseverance. Our make-up includes the adventurous homesteaders and immigrants coming to Oklahoma to work towards a better life, the gas and oil man, rancher and farmer, and the businessman who all live and work together for a better life.
