Gut River - and the fabulous beauty May 04, 2011
Gut River is a little sanctuary on the long and very hazardous coastal road between Alligator Pond and Alligator Hole. Gut River is almost midway between the two spots, which means that it is after approximately 9 miles or 15 kilometres driving on the narrow road where you can’t see but only hear the water.
At Gut River the Gut River runs out underneath an almost demolished bridge which we by the way had to cross anyway. The bridge was not the easiest to pass and I managed shortly to get stuck there.
The water comes out crystal clear and it is a wonderful sight at that point of the journey. The water is cool and the sandy bottom of the lake makes you able to see quite far.
