Cheapest option that is walking distance to downtown Jul 30, 2015
The Guest Inn & Suites is probably the cheapest option that is close to downtown Cincinnati, as there are no hostels or other cheap hotels that are accessible by public transportation.

Judging from the look of the place outside and inside, it used to be one of those resorts, that would normally be way out of my budget range. Now, it has become more along the lines of a cheap hotel.

The rooms are like that of a Motel 6, as they are basic. The beds are good and comfortable. And an old TV, but it does not seem to have much in terms of channels. Each room has its own bathroom, which is okay, even if a little rundown. It comes with shampoo, soap, and towels.

Breakfast is included and really nice! There are waffles, which you can make. Plus there is the usual stuff, like bread, bagels, and cereal. A pretty good breakfast.

The staff is pretty nice, and generally helpful. Plus there is an exercise room.

The location is pretty good, being walking distance to downtown. And about 15 to 20 minutes to the stadiums. Plus across the street from a couple of gas stations, one of which has a Subway, if needing to get drinks or food. Cheaper to get drinks there than at the hotel. Plus a very short from the MegaBus stop.

The only thing that I did not like, was having to take the elevators, just to get to the 2nd floor. I was told by staff, that the stairs can only be used for emergencies. I find that to be a pain, as the elevators can take a long time to come, as the building is 12 stories high. Luckily in my case, the hotel does not seem to be filled.

Overall, I thought it was a great hotel to stay at, in a very good location, as it is accessible without a car. And would stay there again!
