great hike Jun 19, 2011
This is a great place or summer or winter fun. Personally i like hiking the grouse grind in the summers, it is hard especially if your not used to the outdoors or hiking up steep mountians. This trail gets very busy, but when you get to the top its great feeling of achievement. Also there is grizzly bears in their playpen that people can take pictures or watch them in their habitat. There is a birds of prey show with handlers showing eagles, owls and hawks up close. What is really worth the money is doing the ziplining which costs about $100 and do bunch different lines that gets your adrenaline going. There is a lodge with great food and view above the clouds over seeing the city.

Grouse Grind Jul 04, 2011
The Grouse Grind is well worth checking out, located in north vancouver this scenic hike offers panoramic views of downtown and stanley park. You can take the cable car back down and there are many other attractions on the mountain.

Grouse Grind Mountain - Vancouver, British Columbia Feb 06, 2009
One of my favorite local mountains, I do the grind twice a week in spring and summer. If you love hiking and mountains then you will love the Grouse grind, 15 minutes away from downtown Vancouver, great work out and a nice view, the restaurant on top is also nice.

Indeed, cool mountain as my fellow reviewer wrote, but there's more.

In summer, 2 ways to get to the top: the Gondola, or the Grouse Grind.

The Gondola (warning: movie spoiler up ahead): this is the gondola that features at the end of the first Spiderman movie. Gondola + Lions Gate Bridge = not really side by side in real life, but this IS Hollywood (North). It will set you back a pretty penny (last time I was there, about 16$ I think, but I could be wrong). I recommend you take the ride at sunset though, it's gorgeous.

The Grouse Grind: Not a leisurely walk in the park, but if you're young and fit (and who isn't?) this is an excellent afternoon out. Less than an hour to get to the top, then stroll around, enjoy a beavertail and a show and ride the gondola down (free I think, but again, it's been a while.)
