Grotta Azzurra New York Reviews
Grotta Azzurra Ristorante in Little Italy Apr 10, 2009
Grotta Azzurra is named for the Blue Grotto in Capri. We found it a pleasurable place to have lunch in the Little Italy neighborhood of New York City.
The restaurant traces its history over 100 years. The menu offers traditional Italian fare: pasta and classic main courses. In addition to individual selections, a prix fixe lunch and dinner are offered that include a choice of pasta and choice of entree.
All four of us tried something different: Susan ordered the Four Cheese Ravioli, Julia the Gnocchi Telefono (tomato sauce), and Chelsea the Fettuccini Alfredo. I went with the lunch and selected Spaghetti Bolognese and Chicken Marsala. (The entree came with potatoes and broccoli.) The Chicken Marsala was very good. (The lunch really is a bargain!)
Free refills on iced tea.
Grotta Azzurra accepts major credit cards.
