Grogans - Castle Bar, Behind Powerscourt Travel Reviews

Nov 20, 2007
The quintessential Dublin pub, if you come away from Dublin without having thrown the eye in here you truly are missing out. This is both a mix of what was great and what is still good about Ireland and Dublin. Poets, hipsters and drunkards mix freely and the 1940s decor, on tap guinness and on tap toasted cheese sandwiches make this the paragon of Dublin pub culture.

No music, just frequently bizarre and always interesting conversation.

The toilet facilities are of course inhuman but this is Dublin, what did you expect???
