Grüne Hütte Travel Reviews

The Grüne Hütte - good place for good inexpensive Austrian Food (and close to my place) & Sunday shopping. Mar 03, 2008
The Grüne Hütte is one of favorite restaurants for the normal day. Due the new Underground station the restaurant got destroyed and rebuilt back of the new station. Before it was a very traditionally looking Austrian Restaurant form the inside and the outside. It got a new modern image but the food quality, waiters and cooks stayed the same. "Grün" in German mean green and thats their philosophy how they run their restaurant.

They not only are close to my place and serve very good Austrian food, they even have a small supermarket attached on the side of the restaurant. The mimi supermarket has only a view things to sell, but you will be surprise - usually they always have what you are desperately looking :-)

It is located in the first district of Vienna, the city centre, in an old courtyard "Heiligenkreuzerhof". The scenery is very beautiful and peaceful. Perfect for relaxing from all...
