I decided to taste it just to see if I noticed any difference. Tasted like normal to me. I actually went for a run in a rain forest that night. That was pretty neat. I was semi waiting for something to jump out of the woodworks and attack me, but nothing of the sort happened....

I have never been a fan of beer but I was willing to give it a chance during our stay in Greymouth. We had the opportunity to tour Monteith’s Brewery and sample its fine beer. After sampling seven selections of beer I decided that Monteith’s Radler was the one for me. Later we went to a pub, had a pint of our favorite beer, and ate BBQ. There was lots of laughs in between the drinking and watching the rugby game.

So i'm here in greymouth, which is probably the worst stop on the tour.. oh well. There are places that the bus stops and this is one of them. The upside is that it is the home of the Monteiths brewery which will be tonight's bit of entertainment.. that and the all blacks playing england in rugby. As I have mentioned, I will be silently rooting for england since I don't have to have my head bashed in. Sometimes, we have to make sacrifices, gratefully this is not ...

a map and some photos of my slightly unplanned trip around the world. The map outlines the general route I took, not counting the backtracking and double visits.
Argentina - Chile - Easter Island - French Polynesia - New Zealand - Australia - Bali - Hong Kong - Macau - Singapore

(Rob) Up at 6.45 am to get the shuttle bus to train station for TransApline trip through the mountains via Arthur's Pass. Wonderful scenic views of snow-capped mountains and little hamlets/villages.
Arrived at Greymouth for approximately 1pm and wlked about 3quarters mile to our first hostel (Global Village). Very warm afternoon. Got chatting to a young bloke (Justin) from Manchester! who was 1/2 way through a trip around the world. Very chatty and enthusiastic about his travels although I s...
