Every year, I go skiing with a group of friends. The group varies a bit in number and names but there is a hardcore group of six, five guys and a girl. With some friends I traveled to the eastern Europe in a small car with all our luggage for almost a month. We went through France, Switherland, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland in the north, we went down through Slovaquia and Hungary and went back to Spain through the south, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and France.

Verona, Italy & Grenoble, France are my two favourite little cities so far. The feel is totally different from big cities. This two cities have a character which I admire. They both have lovely cafes, bookstores, nice river where you can walk along, nice small bars where you can sit & drink at the sidewalk, looking at life passing by. Filled with restaurants and most importantly, the people are very relaxed and friendly! It makes you feel like one of them. But then this is my opinion, J

In the Spring of 2002, shortly after college graduation, I audited the equivalent of 4th Semester French. I spent three weeks living with a family in Grenoble, France, taking French classes, visiting engineering-related schools and businesses, and en laisant ruoler les bons temps.

Photos from my travels around southern France, sans personne. I spent most of my French journey in Lyon. The goal was to perfect my francais and to get to know a european city like the back of my hand. I spent a little over a month here. During the summer, residences in dorms can be quite affordable (something like 500 euros for a month). Feel free to ask any questions about these places I visited.

Before we headed to our next destination Paris, we knew that with the little money we had left, we had to be smart and cunning in our means of getting there. Now overhere in England, the conductors don't come asking for tickets until they are settled, with machines ready and so on.
