Greenville Vacation Guide
Greenville, is set among the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northwest corner of South Carolina. Greenville's vibrant community welcomes visitors to experience breathtaking views and Southern charm at its finest. From the Liberty Bridge, a 355 foot long walkway overlooking the waterfalls nestled in the heart of downtown, to panoramic views from the nearby mountains, the activities are endless.
Greenville's downtown "West End" District is a great place to go with it's resturants and shops. If your out with the family or on a romantic date downtown has something for everyone.
The location of the city is superb as a starting point for trips to many other fantastic sites around the area. Asheville and Charlotte North Carolina, Spartanburg and Gaffney (the big peach) South Carolina are just short drives from here.
North of Greenville you will find great hiking trails in the mountains. Table Rock state parts has several trials. One leads to the top of Table Rock where there are awesome views. Another trail up to Pinnacle mountain leads on to Sassafras Mountain, the highest peak in South Carolina. This trail is strenuous, but camping is allowed once you are past the Greenville watershed property.
