My 6th visit to Greenland. This time 3 weeks in the Southern parts of Greenland. Narsarsuaq, Narsaq, Qaqortoq and Nanortalik. Beautiful and tuff nature - icebergs, mountains, sailing, fishing and much more.

In December 2006 I visited a good friend living i Sisimiut in Greenland.

I know this is not exactly traveling pictures, but I just adore animals of all kinds...

June 8, 2008 - It was the greatest sight I had ever seen and the feeling of exhilaration would not subside. Less than 500 miles from the North Pole, I was literally standing on top of the world atop a glacier, with nothing but miles of ice and open water surrounding me. I felt reincarnated in some ways, as my spirit left my body and rose above for a greater, clearer view. I went by small plane to see the most amazing scenery i have ever come across. 1 day was not enough for me and I will be coming back in the future and spending a couple of weeks (blog later)

My first time in one of the worlds most amazing places. Im very pleaced i got the opportunity to experience it.

800km/hour under the LOT wings during 10 hours and I am in Illinois. Ill. that I hardly recognized. But three weeks here must be very special - this is the Christmas Time and soon 2008 year will pass.

Going to Turkey, cruise the Black Sea. Hop over to Athens for a quick visit, then back to Turkey for another tour, including Cappadocia.

Greenland, we went over on a tiny airplane from Iceland as a day trip. We landed on a dirt strip that apparently sometimes isn't accessible. From there we walked about a mile and a half along a small dirt road that had 12 feet of snow on either side of the road in spots. It was crazy but cool. With my new 10-days-late flight, I had a direct, 11 hour trip from München to San Francisco over the Arctic! I love this route. Here are a few bad shots out the window from 34000 feet up...

overbooked whit 21 persons but the vacation whas fantastic because we travled from hotel to hotel over the island [sorry for the foto's that time i diddent have a digital camera]
